The Parties shall be guided by the principles of equality, mutual benefit and interest and shall develop and develop commercial and economic relations between undertakings, irrespective of their type of ownership, on the basis of direct economic links, in accordance with the legal acts existing in the States of the Contracting Parties. 1. The Parties shall grant each other free trade agreements. All calculations and payments relating to trade and economic cooperation between enterprises of the States of the Parties shall be made on the basis of the relevant interbank agreements. Uzbekistan has signed trade agreements with 45 countries that provide for most-favoured-nation treatment. It has also signed bilateral investment agreements with 53 countries, but five of them have not entered into force.
